Our Staff

Founding Director & Lead Teacher
Beki Bell
Beki holds a Bachelor of Science in Sociology from Cleveland State University and her AMS Teaching Credential from Columbus Montessori Education Center. After 13 years as a Montessori teacher, Beki took a few years away from teaching to take graduate classes and gain experience in nonprofit development and administration.  All of this has led her to pursue her dream of founding Lakewood Montessori School. Beki has taught American Sign Language to Montessori students aged 3- to 9-years-old. Beki enjoys birdwatching and exploring the Metroparks with friends. She is particularly passionate about volunteering and supporting nonprofit education, social justice, and reproductive justice organizations.

Teaching Assistant
Linette Pacheco
Linette holds her Bachelor of Arts in Communications from John Carroll University, and has worked as a Montessori assistant teacher for 7 years. She is fluent in Spanish and has taught both Spanish and American Sign Language to Montessori students aged 3- to 6-years-old. Linette enjoys cooking, exploring Cleveland’s diverse restaurant scene, and spending time with her large, close-knit family.

After-care Assistant
Kate Norris
Kate received her Bachelor of Liberal Arts from St. John’s College, and her Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing from The Ohio State University. Kate began working with students in LMS’s small, in-home, Soft Launch program in early 2016. Kate works primarily as a novelist and hopes to publish her latest YA historical fiction novel in the next year. When she is not working, Kate enjoys cooking dinner with friends, and long hikes with her Bedlington Terrier, Chip.
